One function was lost, and I miss it - being able to see everything in my Library in one place. Yes, I realize I can make a playlist to do this, but why take away the ability to click on Library and see everything?
Because video files in iTunes are now subdivided into Movies, TV Shows, and Music (a somewhat limiting scheme), some changes are needed to iMovie. If I edit a music video in iMovie (I use iMovie to edit all kinds of video clips), then export it for iPod to get it into iTunes, by default it is placed in the Movies directory. It is then necessary to go through a slightly tedious process to change the Video Kind tag to Music Video to get the video to show up in the right place. It takes several clicks to do this, and Automator doesn't have access to many of the info fields of media in iTunes.
Multiple selection to change item info is also limited to a few basic tags, which made the transition to iTunes 7 a bit painful (many videos in my Library were mischaracterized).
So iMovie needs to have access to the Video Kind tag and/or iTunes needs easier access (including with multiple selections) to all of the metadata. Automator really needs out-of-the-box access to more of the standard Apple application functionality across the board, without having to write AppleScript.
Also, since videos on the iTunes Store are now 640x480, iMovie needs a choice to export for the iPod at that resolution.
Other than these video-related wishes, the main thing I'd like to see in a future release is tabbed browsing in the iTunes Store.
Update... Doug Adams has an AppleScript to change the Video Kind. Yea!
